Two Sato et al papers

Sato et al. is a group of scientists in Japan looking at evolved intermediate mass stars, and discuss six new discoveries over two papers. They also include some interesting speculation as to the less than 0.6 AU planet desert and the apparent lack of a metallicity correlation for intermediate mass stars. For post-red giant tip red giants, they could have actually engulfed the planets, but that does not explain the lack of inner planets around sub-giant stars. A different formation mechanism may be at work.

Important for my research, they include jitter values. As I previously assumed, the jitter seemed around 15 m/s. 10 m/s was the norm for the sub-giants they used, but the full red giants had more jitter. They had one at 25 m/s, but it displayed chromosphere activity in the Ca II & K line analysis.
